      Po' Boys at Commander's Palace?

      Well...

I've never eaten there (after all jackets are required and blue jeans not permitted), so it doesn't strike me as the kind of place where you'd pick up your food with both hands, and have it fall out of the baguette as you bit into it.

Their turtle soup is some of the best in town. I've only been there a couple of times over the years and one time was when somebody else was paying.😁

              Do you know any gentlemen?

Another great thing about America compared to where I grew up is you can generally go out for a nice meal in a pretty upscale place without dressing up like a twat gentleman.

              I was only joking

When I go to McDonald's, I always wear my cummerbund. (It makes dropping my drawers and digging in for the obligatory post-McGriddle explosive shit a lot easier than with a belt. And it makes me a gentleman because clothes make the man.)

Gentlemen, you don't eat at Commander's, you dine.

Did you wear your greasy coveralls to your wedding?

Commander's Palace has been Commander's Palace for long enough that it has earned the right to demand that its customers dress to respect the restaurant and what it stands for and what it has accomplished. Commander's Palace has the right to not put up with flip-flops.

In fact, it's a sad shame that the need for a posted dress code is even necessary.

TBH, I don't actually wear any of that scruffy shit anyway if I'm going somewhere nice but I'm not wearing a jacket. At least they don't require a tie.

Looking at the menu, it's not actually that expensive. It does look nice.
