Claims of SIG Sauer P320s firing without being triggered. Reads a bit like claims of years past about cars accelerating without the driver stepping on the gas pedal.

@Jolly, is this talked about in your circle?

I don't have a circle of any count. I certainly ain't in the biz anymore.

But the P320 problems are well known. Those centered around the gun going off if dropped. Sig went back and did a few things to fix that, including redesigning the sear for a secondary shelf and making sure the firing pin was mechanically blocked until disengaged by the trigger.

The drop problem was supposedly fixed.

But, once something gets labeled a black dog, it's a black dog. The current claims are of "un-commanded discharge". I'm skeptical.

There are a ton of P320's out there. More than a million in civilian hands + police + military. There are going to be accidents...User caused accidents. I'm afraid I'd have to see some more proof that the gun still has a problem.

In the meantime, maybe some of these folks would be better off with a striker fired gun that has a frame safety.
