      Yet many med schools go (far) beyond basic DEI to ask about identity, sexual orientation, anti-racism and proof that the applicant is committed to social justice issues.

      If I understand this correctly, we need more doctors who can't tell the difference between the reproductive system and the digestive system.

          How will you contribute to the diversity of your medical school class and the University of Virginia School of Medicine? (350 words)

          I assume in this context diversity means the new meaning of diversity, not the old meaning of diversity.

            I long for the days when there was no "essay" required.

            Have a good GPA in college.
            Do well on the MCAT.
            Don't fuck up the interview.
