Somehow I’m thinking ‘hundreds’ of workers is less than a rounding error, even taking into account that many restaurants are franchises.

McDonald's has 150k employees not counting those employed by franchisees. "Hundreds" is decidedly less than 1% of that 150k. Still, best of luck to those being laid off and hope that McDonald's will treat them fairly.

I have not used a McDonald's kiosk in a long time. These days I just place my order in the McDonald's app on the phone.

LOL. I cannot remember the last time I went to a McDonalds. I do know it would only have been for a Eggamuffin with sausage and cheese. Most likely with an order of hash-browns and large OJ.
