How quickly can Jeremy put out a light beer?
-
I'm not much of a drinker, but I had a business trip to Tuscaloosa a few years ago and stayed at a hotel that had a Happy Hour for guests. Free beer or free wine. With chips or pretzels. The wine was a notch above box wine (a very small notch), but the beer was draft Yuengling.
First time I'd ever had it. I'm no drinker, as I said, but tasted fine to me.

So DJT JR and Trump’s hand selected leader of the RNC have been critical about the boycott and calling on the base to end it. This has caused some consternation among the base…
DeSantis came out in support of the boycott…

What do they say? "Dont bite the hand that gives you food."
QUOTE
On Saturday, the official NRCC Twitter page deleted a tweet directly attacking one of its largest donors, Anheuser-Busch -- the parent company of Bud Light. In the since-deleted tweet, the NRCC criticised Bud Light for partnering with trans TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney and attempted to fundraise with “limited edition” drink koozies.
“Thanks to Dylan Mulvaney, we can all finally admit that Bud Light tastes like water,” the NRCC said in the tweet, which was captured by The Daily Beast. “With our new koozie’s, you can make sure no one confuses Bud Light with real beer ever again.”
The tweet was deleted shortly after it was posted on Saturday morning and the corresponding fundraising page now redirects to a ‘Stand with House Republicans” contribution page. The earlier fundraising page claimed: “Woke companies making you feel like drinking? Then this limited-edition koozie is perfect for you! Just chip in $10 to CLAIM YOUR LIMITED-EDITION KOOZIE!”
Notably, Anheuser-Busch is one of the NRCC’s major donors, which The Daily Beast cites as a potential reason for the tweets immediate disappearance. In the 2022 cycle, Anheuser-Busch and its employees gave the NRCC a whopping $464,505, the publication reported.
One GOP operative told the outlet that they assumed the NRCC “backtracked because they realized they were biting the hand that feeds them, and as soon as word gets around about that, why would anyone else give them big money in the future?”

LOL Yup. The big companies pay to both sides so they can (hopefully) get benefits no matter which party is in control. And parties are willing to accept from any company because they want the money.

These numbers are misleading. What they mostly track is individual employees donations which is uncoordinated by the firm.

You can see that the "organization" donated to both parties pretty equally.
Now, @taiwan_girl , ask yourself this question: "Why didn't 'The Independent' bother to report that?"
Edit: I was (slightly) wrong. AB donated $25K more to the GOP than the Democrats. Still an order of magnitude less than the source you cited.

So what’s got DJT JR and the RNC backing off? And why is DeSantis going full speed ahead?
-
I think the former is an interesting question, I would imagine personal interests are involved rather than principle, as much as that flies in the face of everything we know about Donald Trump.
DeSantis just sees where his base is and is taking advantage of the the opportunity. And for him it’s a bonus that it’s the opposite of the Trump position.

Holy shit, some C level over there actually understands marketing. Good for them.

I doubt they understand marketing, but they sure understand stock price.
Yeah that was kinda the joke. (If they did understand, this stupid idea never would have made it outside the conference room.)

I'm not sure about all the "body language" stuff, but it's entertaining to watch a so-called expert talk about this interview:

17% drop in one week.
That’s on top of a 6% drop the week before.
Oh, and they canned another marketing executive.

It’s difficult to believe this wasn’t approved at the highest levels. I think the bloodbath has just started.
Here’s the full Bud Light marketing team…
