I asked my doctor and they did not know. Even though I have had surgery in recent years.

I donated whole blood at a Red Cross facility recently. I don't think they test my blood for COVID-19, or if they do, they haven't say anything about testing my blood for COVID-19 with me.

Anesthesiologist who used to work in town and has since moved back to South Louisiana, has two of his college-aged sons hospitalised with COVID. They transferred one of them this weekend for ECMO treatment.

        The young man is 19.

        Novel virus, indeed...

          +1. It's terrible they're so young, too. 😞

          Please love yourself.

Not a friend. We worked at different hospitals and as the old saying goes "I don't know him, but I know of him". I heard about his boys from a retired surgeon I know.

Thanks ... that web page ways the Red Cross started doing antibody testing on June 15; my last donation was made just a few days before that, so that explains why no one said anything about antibody testing when I donated.

I know 2 blood type O’s who were very healthy people and got whacked pretty well- no hospital though. Seems like the blood type is a factor but not the big one.

Recently made another blood donation through the Red Cross. Indeed they sent me my COVID-19 antibody test results -- negative. 🤷

How are the two college boys doing? I'm hoping they made it, and that they aren't having long term problems from the virus.
