Based on my experience in computer RPGs, those things are usually 1-2 feet long and worth 10 xp. Good grinding mobs.
They usually drop carcasses that can be used for armor-making, too. That and useless "ichor."

Crafting is a neat idea and very fun if implemented well, but somehow it seems you end up mostly making a bunch of potions you never need to use. And it's always a let-down when the best sword you can craft is still a couple grades below the best artifact sword you can find.

End-game crafting > crafting while grinding.

@Horace I'm holding out for Baldur's Gate III and Divinity II on iPad.

I played Witcher 3 on the PS4. I think it was as good an RPG as I've ever played. I've been tempted to buy it again for the PC, but it was still v. good on the console.
Looking forward to BG3.
