    Some thoughts...

    1. Staff training. Lives were saved at Nashville by prompt staff action.
    2. Replace glass entrance doors with steel doors and bulletproof glass. Same for interior classroom doors.
    3. Armed resource officers or armed teaching staff.
    4. Gun ownership and mental health issues...We're going to need a national debate on this.
    5. Social Contagion. Much of the current trans movement is simple social contagion, especially among girls. We need to address this.
    6. As for immediate copycats...If this nation can fund a war in Europe, it ought to be able to put a police officer in every school. It can afford to let Federal law enforcement do free security walk-throughs for schools and make recommendations to school districts.

I dont think the answer is more guns in school or a higher police visibility in the school.

I think that would be bad for kids mental health to think of schools as violent places.

Doing something like that is only a bandaid and does not address the root cause of the problem.

        Just an observation:

Number of schools with armed teachers that have been attacked = 0.

You like statistics. What does that tell you?

Same is true about schools with transgender principals, which makes the identical statistical point.

            Not really.

There are a lot more schools where some of the staff is carrying concealed than there are schools with transgendered principals.

A little googling tells me that’s likely true.

But the same google results led me to believe that you can’t possibly know if this is true or not:

                Try common sense, then.

If you're a predator, do you attack a chicken house with no fence and no dog in the yard, or do you attack a chicken house with a snarling dog and a predator-proof fence?

A lot of people hate gun owners, but I don't know of any mass shootings at a gun show, do you?

Maybe it's a simple as why Willie Sutton robbed banks. Maybe people who want to commit mass murder pick places where it's easiest to do...

That's not really true, though. Messed up kids shoot up their own schools. When employees go postal, they shoot up their own offices. That's kind of the point. They don't exactly shop around.

There has to be a better solution to this than just having more and more guns.

Sure. Execute them while young. ☠

Solutions are easy. Execution is hard.

You identify these kids pretty early and treat the mental illness. In the case of the Nashville shooter, they were autistic and transgendered.

Red flag laws. The problem with people who do not support the Second Amendment, is that they will use Red Flag laws as back door gun control and that ain't gonna happen. Therefore, these laws will have to be refined and the end decision will have to be made in court.

You enhance and tighten up mental health. Compassion is fine, but some people don't need to be on the street.

Harden the target. Control entrance and egress points. Metal detectors at those points. All classroom doors should open to a hallway, should have unbreachable locks and have bulletproof glass in the door. And yes, either have armed resource officers or have trained and armed designated teachers.

                      What have we accomplished?

                      1. We've barney fifed the threat and nipped it in the bud.
                      2. We've controlled some access to weapons.
                      3. We've made a school shooting a losing proposition. It's going to be hard to get your weapon in, it's going to be hard to get to students and the likelihood is that the shooter will be met with lethal force early in his attempted mass murder.

As Aqua pointed out, many times the shooter went to the school at one time. I'm not saying all shootings can be prevented by a good guy with a gun. Even the Secret Service will tell you that a dedicated individual willing to lose their life in order to take someone else's, will succeed more often than not.

But good security calls for hardening the target. Armed and immediate response is a layer in the hardening process.

If a shooting occurred, you'd know. it would be plastered all over the news media.

                                  Therefore, no shootings.

If a shooting occurred, you'd know. it would be plastered all over the news media.

                                    Therefore, no shootings.

We can be certain no armed teacher or administrator has intervened and popped a cap in some school shooters head. We cannot know if a teacher was armed in any of the schools.

And again, point out to me where a school shooting has taken place in a school where the teachers are armed.

Nice try Dude. You don’t get to set the null hypothesis. You made a claim that you pulled either straight out of your ass or, same fucking thing, from maga media.

You simple cannot know, nor can I, and most importantly, neither can the shooter.

                                          Quit playing dumb bastard.

                                          You know that if teachers
are carrying within a school, it's something that has to be publicly approved by the local school board and powers that be.

You just don't like it, that you can't come up with an example to prove me wrong.

Chaps your ass, doesn't it? 😅😅
