Seems like this is more about Iran - the US has not really been in a position to broker a deal with them since the end of the nuclear agreement.

I’m going to call BS on this. We weren’t in a position to broker a deal even during the “agreement”. And the agreement was a capitulation.

@LuFins-Dad didn’t we just blow up their top military commander and put on aggressive sanctions.

I’m not saying if that’s right or wrong… I just don’t think the Iranians are in the mood to have anything brokered by us.
