My taste in steaks is reaffirmed

    Mrs. George wanted steak tonight, and I had a couple of Costco filet in the freezer.

    For those who are sensitive, I will not discuss what I did to her steak...

    I seasoned my steak with some sea salt and made it using the "cold skillet" technique. I also seared the edges because, why not?

    It came out perfect. For a filet.

    It was juicy, tender and flavorful. But I really REALLY prefer a strip steak.

      I do too, especially if they are cut 2” thick and sliced into chevrons.
