The Green Wave football team just had their best season in years. Spears was a huge reason for their success.

He ran a 4.47 at Tulane's pro day, but his forte is his feet. The guy has very, very quick feet. At Senior Bowl practice, it looked like his feet were half again as fast as the backs he was practicing with.

The Saints are very high on him. So are about four other teams. He will not last past the second round. Don't be surprised if the Saints don't take him at the bottom of the First.

    Yeah, he's that good.

Having lost Perrine and Mixon fading, we could sure use him.

What about Alvin Kamara? Isn't he fast?

He did a trick in that NFL 100th Anniversary video, where he quick-footed his way all the way down a cluttered dining table and his feet never touched a single item on the table. The director said in their how-we-did-it video that they had him do it twice for the same result. In dress shoes, yet.

At least, I think it was Kamara.

Probably. Kamara has very quick feet and very good balance. His 40 was 4.56

And a note...Next year will be year number seven for Kamara. That's getting old for a running back. Most have careers of around four years. If they can avoid injury, eight or nine years is a looong time.

Mark Ingram II has probably played his last season. Mark has been in the league 12 years. That's positively ancient for a running back.

Kamara may be in prison next year.

I'm guessing not, but he's probably looking at a 8 game suspension. And he's gooing to be out a lot of money.
