... the conference in recent years began shunning those who didn't espouse the populism that has engulfed the grassroots since Trump's 2016 campaign.
    ...
Prospective candidates like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem and more chose to spend their time elsewhere -- including, some, at a donor retreat in Florida hosted by the anti-tax Club for Growth, a powerful group embroiled in a feud with Trump.

Joe Biden was also not there.

Surfing through the channels last night, I came across Trump's speech at CPAC.

          1. He looked old
          2. He looked tired
          3. I watched for about 90 seconds, and it was all stuff I heard in 2016.

Having had (more than) enough, I watched "Legends and Lies," about the Revolutionary War, narrated by Kelsey Grammar.

            How'd you like Kelsey's show?

I watched 2 ½ episodes. Enjoyed them. The actors don't look very much like the people they're portraying, but overall it was a nice telling of the tales. The scene where Adams secured the innocence of the British soldiers was particularly well done.

The commentaries by Brand and others were good as well.

Having read several biographies of Washington, and also those of Adams, Hamilton, Franklin, I found this was a nice reminder, distilled into an hour.

As I’ve often said, one of his attractions is that he resents the same people his supporters do (referring to the second tweet).

                          Trump vs Biden?

That's and easy decision for me.

I'll be surprised if that ends up being the choices.

The biggest gift the democrats could get for the next President election is if President Trump was the nominee.

@Jolly I very hope that President Biden will not be, but if it is Trump vs. Biden again, I think the results will be the same.

People have short memories. In two years, I think inflation will be down, stocks will be up, COVID will be a memory, etc.

Nope, but I think a lot of the country is worried about the economy and inflation. And I think the length of the COVID mandates can be linked to Biden.
