So I started a COVID project 2 years ago. The timber retaining wall for the garden that was in place when we moved in was starting to rot and fall apart., do I pulled it out and decided to build a stone wall. Since I didn’t want to dig a new one in a few years, I did it right. I buried as much as what is above ground, and over a 6” bed of gravel for drainage… That led from one project to another and the last weren’t finished before Lucas went to college. A few months ago we decided to hire some help to finish it up. We realized since we would need to have a couple of pallets of Pavers staged in the front for a few days, we should probably let the HOA know…

Well, we found out it would take 8 weeks of approval and they are planning home inspections in 4 weeks… To top it off, the pavers we want are on sale now (saving quite a bit of money…) but we need to take delivery in the next 2 weeks. Screw it. We’re going for it. Racing the HOA, and will try to explain that we did most of it 2 years ago…

I heard a good one recently - a joke about words of venery, you know, like a murder of crows or a pride of lions, or a confusion of Guinea fowl…

      “An HOA of Karens”

      Only non-witches get due process.

@jon-nyc said in Racing the HOA…:

        venery

        What's the plural of that?

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
