when website visitors clicked the "schedule an appointment" button, the code captured sensitive health information like medical conditions, prescriptions, doctors' names, and previous appointments and sent it to Facebook.
Tell me this is an Onion article.
Were they using Epic or (shudder) Cerner?

I think W-K uses EPIC.

That would be in MyChart if it was Epic, which should not have had any Meta add-ons. Unless they cobbled up something on their own, which is unlikely. I have no idea what Cerner has.

Interesting indeed.
In case anyone is wondering why they would sue the hospital system (likely hovering close to insolvency) rather than Meta (which prints money), it’s not by choice but by necessity- Meta is not subject to HIPPA rules. Only the hospital is.
