    Teachers won't come to you?

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

I have no doubt I could find someone local, and it's not really about not leaving the house. If this guy had a local studio, I'd go there. I've had lots of teachers, but only found one particularly valuable. I think this guy might be a good fit. I think with a good camera setup it'll be fine, as far as him not being in the same room.

      Education is extremely important.

It is probably not what you are looking for, but I did this a while ago.

They got the login screen, but not so much the account creation screen. Or the screen where they explain what they do. They're on their way though, and I wish them the best.

I know some teachers that did online lessons. It seems really suboptimal to me but some people are fine with it.

Zoom needs to be specially configured to make music work, as we found out in the beginning of covid when Ax organized some parties.

If you don't take it, it can only good happen.

It doesn’t work… Even with the adjustments.

Get a Disklavier, then I’ll set you up with a local teacher that does remote lessons with them. You will literally be playing his piano and he will be playing yours. Flawless reproduction, set up two cameras, one overhead and one from the side for posture and it’s as good as an in person lesson…

These are high profile lessons but it can and does happen on a smaller scale as well.

This line from the song "Piano Lessons" always got me. lol

                  I remember piano lessons

                  The hours in freezing rooms

                  Cruel ears and tiny hands

                  Destroying timeless tunes

Hay ChatGPT! Write a poem about horrible piano lessons!

                    Piano lessons, once a delight,
Now a source of endless fright.
                    Every note, a painful screech,
My hands, they seem to never reach.

The keys, they mock me day by day,
My fingers, they refuse to play.
The teacher's voice, sharp as a knife,
Slicing through my dreams, my life.

                    I sit, I try, I fail, I cry,
Hoping this would soon pass by.
But every lesson brings more pain,
And I'm left to bear the strain.

The music that once brought such joy,
Now leaves me feeling so destroyed.
And though I know I should persist,
I can't help but feel I've been missed.

So I'll quit these lessons with a sigh,
And say goodbye to the keys and I.
For the love of music, I must find,
A way to leave these lessons behind.
