Coleslaw is shite no matter how you make it.
They serve it with fish and chips.
Fish and chips. FISH AND FREAKING CHIPS.
Why?
God knows, my country hasn't got a great culinary tradition, but seriously, this meal is something we are justifiably proud of. Along with that other famed British creation Chicken Tikka Masala.
"I know, we can improve this no end - we won't give you any malt vinegar, and as a replacement for the mushy peas we'll give you coleslaw"
This ranks right up there with putting a freaking gopher into The Hundred Acre Wood.
I have never, not once in my life, part-taken of this abominable mashup. The slaw is always chucked.

It can be refreshing, like pickled ginger with sushi.

I like 'em both. Which one depends on the flavor and texture of the foods accompanying the slaw.
Otherwise I agree with Jolly.

Picking at it releases more of its mold-smelling foulness, which encourages projectile vomitus. To be avoided.

So she’s the one…
@Jolly is right about putting slaw in a sandwich, and you want a mayonnaise based slaw for that, but eating on the side with a slab of ribs? Give me vinegar…

We've recently gone to KFC for the first time in 20 years - there's one round the corner from where we live, and it's actually surprisingly good.
Also, you can feed a family of 4 four for $40, and have enough left over for lunch the next day, which is way cheaper than even McDonalds.

Ok. Next important stuff question… How strong do you make your coffee? Do you use the full 2 tablespoons per 6oz? Or less?

It's still way below my minimum shit food threshold. Chik-Fil-A is as low as I'll go out there.
Oatmeal is even cheaper, and you don't need an inorganic chem specialization to understand what you're ingesting.

Oatmeal is only as good as the trimmings, but there are varying qualities of the base oats.

I had cream of wheat last week for the first time in decades. Made it with milk. Special treat. Mostly had it with water as a kid. Milestones like that make you realize how far you’ve come in life.
