"Marjorie Prime"
-
I love "little" intimate movies. For example, I loved "The Man From Earth."
This is similar movie - based on a play.
Basic premise is that "Marjorie" (Lois Smith) has lost her husband, Walter (Jon Hamm). She is suffering from Alzheimers. Her daughter, Tess (Geena Davis) and Son-in-law, John (Tim Robbins), to get Marjorie to deal with his death, contract to have a hologram of Walter interact with her. She speaks to him, and for all practical purposes, he's real - but he's not.
An interesting take on relationships, family, love - both won and lost.
On HULU.

@Mik i enjoyed it much more than I thought I would.
The fact that Marjorie picks a devilishly handsome mid-40's aged Walter for her hologram to interact with has implications later on in the story.
You choose the person you want to talk to...
I might watch it again, just to catch the subtleties, knowing how it ends (which is a bit of a surprise).
Have you seen "The Man from Earth?" That's another thought-provoking movie.

A good, non-spoiler-ey review.
