Da Mayor: "Don't use cash."

So we as a society cannot use cash because it can be stolen? That's not a solution so much as a capitulation.

True.
I wonder about the legality of it. After all "legal tender for all debts..." is literally on the bills and coins.
That said, I hardly pay cash for anything anymore. Hell, I hardly write checks anymore.

Same here. But that's not the point. It's inconveniencing the honest population due to the behavior of the dishonest.

Oh, it’s not just inconveniencing… I have it on good authority that expecting people to have valid photo identification is racist and evidently there are hundreds of thousands of people that are unable to obtain photo ID. Since a valid photo ID is required to open bank accounts and obtain debit and credit cards, these hundreds of thousands must rely on cash for all commerce. By asking businesses to go cashless, you are infringing on these people’s ability to buy food, medicine, diapers, and more…
I suppose I should just send the homeless guy 10 bucks on apple cash so he can buy a sandwich now?
