Alec Baldwin Charged

Looking at their filings for Baldwin, they appear to be more than a little incompetent.
But, time will tell.
Using lawyers of questionable competence and an inability to keep one's mouth shut appears to be fairly commonplace at the moment.

Can we just go ahead and agree that always assuming a real gun is loaded without personally proving otherwise is a good idea?
Well yeah, we're also always told to never ever point a gun at anybody except in self-defence even when it isn't loaded, but this is a movie, and they have to point guns at each other.
I guess we'll see what happens in court.
You're saying he couldn't have checked it? How?

As Hutchins isn’t an actress, there would have been no reason for him to be pointing it at her for the scene. In fact, that she was shot instead of the actors in the scene would indicate that he was actively not aiming at anyone in the scene. Unfortunately, he wasn’t aware of where he was aiming.
And actors don’t point guns at each other in the movies. It’s these wonderful things called angles…

I'd have to go back and look, but as they were blocking out the scene, Hutchins supposedly said, "Now point the gun at me" as she stood near the camera.
Baldwin had been sitting in a wooden church pew, rehearsing a scene that involved “cross drawing” a revolver and pointing it at the camera lens, Mr. Souza said, according to the affidavit. Mr. Souza said that he had been standing beside Ms. Hutchins “viewing the camera angle.”

Who'd want to be famous?
Sure, he gets to live in a big house and what-not, but that shit would be awful.

She earned it.
From the RWEC:
Lesser of two evils.
Am I a fan of Alec Baldwin? No. I am not sure how he got famous, and I don’t think I have ever seen him on screen or on television. And I harshly criticized his careless handling of a firearm that resulted in a death on the set of a movie in which he starred.
However. There are worse people. And in this video, you see one of them, as someone accosts Baldwin in a public place and demands that he say “Free Palestine” and “Fuck Israel” so that she will leave him alone:
One can only wish that he had hit her harder.
I find it amazing that the writer has never seen Baldwin on screen.
"Hunt for Red October?" You've never seen it? What TF is wrong with you?
-
I’ve only seen him in Gengarry, Glen Ross as far as I can remember.

Red October is a great flick. Baldwin's character (Jack Ryan) is secondary to the plot. It deviates in some places from the book, but it's overall faithful to the book.
Check it out.

How can somebody not have watched 30 Rock?
-
The same way you don’t watch any show, just at a different time and on a different channel.

Never have.
Me neither. Nor The Office or Parks and Rec. They all have a snide humor to them that I don't appreciate.
