Kinda geeky, and perhaps only @bachophile will get it.

    Umm...

Rocuronium is a muscle relaxant. And by "muscle relaxant" I don't mean something like diazepam or cyclobenzaprine which will "relax" your muscles.

Rocuronium is a muscle relaxant because it relaxes muscles. It paralyzes them. It is the 21st century equivalent of curare. It will kill you , just as reliably as a fentanyl overdose, but without the pleasure of losing consciousness before you die.

I read that and went “WTF?!?!”. Isn’t that one they originally used in lethal injections?

Pancuronium is the drug traditionally used in lethal injections.

        The "Three P's"

        1. Pancuronium
        2. Potassium
        3. Propofol (used to be Pentothal)

Roc has a better safety profile in other respects (it still paralyzes you, of course - that's what it does). It's shorter acting, fewer cardiovascular effects, etc. But, if you're gonna kill someone, either will do.

Did you hear the one about the condemned man who ordered British food for his last meal? He died before they could strap him to the gurney. Lol @ British food, it is so bad that people die after eating it.

Fact: people who eat British food will eventually die.

          Education is extremely important.
