The auto-cannon version is a dud, but some of the other variants are okay. Whar I find interesting, though, is in the last part of the article...The problem with multiple platforms is multiple parts, multiple maintenance schedules and dissimilar training. That goes away if Germany starts to provide Leopards.

The Leopard has had a long production run, there are tons of them in NATO arsenals and they are a decent MBT.
