When you’ve lost Rolling Stone

We watched the opening monologue. It was funny but so self conscious.

I slogged through most of the show, but only to see if any of the movies/shows that I enjoyed rated. Until yesterday, I didn't even know the Globes were on, and I didn't know who was nominated.
But, the absolute W for the night goes to Eddie Murphy.
Murphy gave the audience three tips on how to get far in life.
“There is a definitive blueprint that you can follow to achieve success, prosperity, longevity, and peace of mind. It’s a blueprint, and I’ve followed it my whole career,” said Murphy. “Pay your taxes, mind your business and keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out your motherfucking mouth!”
But, "House of the Dragon?" Really???
I had no idea of the Fraser controversy. Interesting to see him stand up.

Looks like they gave best pic Musical or Comedy to Banshees of Inisherin.
I highly recommend watching it - spectacular movie. (Also - there are some laugh out loud moments, but I wouldn't have pegged it as a comedy at all)

I enjoyed that movie too. That director also did In Bruges with the same two actors. I liked that one even more.
