But the more interesting thing is that the Democrats are surprised when the same standards are applied to them that they applied to the GOP.

Supposedly he has no idea of Fang Fang’s ChiCom connections and reported It when he found out.
That doesn’t make him any less loathsome however.

I don't understand how these odious characters on both sides continue to get elected. I know, it's very simplistic and driven by emotion to say that I wouldn't vote for somebody who's clearly a colossal twat, but still, I can't be the only one to feel this way.

Its easy. There is a certain percent of the population that will vote Democrat or Republic regardless of who runs.
And in some voting areas, the Democrats or Republics are far in the majority, so the result is known before the voting starts.
The incumbent already has a built in 20-30 point advantage.
DOnt know if you makes you feel any better, but it is the same in Taiwan and other countries.

I don't see how a hatemonger like Omar landed on a committee having to do with US relations with the rest of the world, anyway. It's good she's off of it.
