Jordan Peterson to get “retrained?”

Well, to be fair, I don't honestly think Peterson is trying to say these people are trying to orchestrate genocides. He's said many times that this kind of behavior is precisely how you ramp up to Nazism…
My argument is not with Peterson’s references to the term. It is with those sloppy thinkers who employ it as did the Honourable Poster from Louisiana.

Why not call them mediaeval Roman Catholics? It makes as much sense. Plenty of groups have exhibited intolerance and a holier than though attitude through the years, but for some reason we always jump to Nazi.
Are you honestly saying the "good they've done for the world" / "bad they've done in the world" scorecard for Roman Catholics and Nazis is the same?
Are you honestly saying that Ontario liberals are closer to the Nazi scorecard than the medieval RC one?

I think he would confine it to a certain timeframe.
OTOH, National Socialism didn't rise to domination in the early 30's, without a lot of positive actions, which actually drew praise from many prominent people around the world.

I think a comparison to intolerant religious thinking is more appropriate. The Nazis are too extreme. There was little well-meaning about them, and many on the woke side are well-meaning,.

The only reason I can think that you're using to use such a silly analogy is to score points against people you don't like and maybe defend people you do, rather than try to accurately describe the situation.

It's probably not the case that Nazi supporters considered themselves to be ill-meaning at the time.

Consider the source.
Christianity is the debil. (Trivia points for the tv character who compared anything she didn't like to da debil.)

I'm not the one making ludicrous comparisons between Canadians and the Nazis, which was my original point. You can see how stupid my analogy is, but not the other one?
The attitudes of modern liberals are extremely similar to those of intolerant religious people.

You started with the dumbass comparisons, not me.
And I pointedly said 'medieval' Christianity.

I have to admit I do find it quite funny that we can all see the silliness of comparisons between Ontario and Pope Innocent III, but not with Adolf Hitler.

I think that's because Aqua may have a salient point.

What do you mean, "we can all see"? I didn't mention Hitler in any of my above responses.
I did describe where I think comparisons between Nazism and this kind of behavior exist, so instead of speaking for me maybe reread what I said to Renauda.

You did accuse me of disliking Catholics, however - so 10 demerit points to you! I never accused you of disliking Canadians, or for that matter Nazis.

Also, I think I should post this before anybody else does
