Also in my town...
Funny (to me) story. The people that lived in that house for years were an anesthesiologist and a heart surgeon. The anesthesiologist was one of our residents back in the day.
I was on call one weekend, and on Sunday I got called in for a case. There were two residents on call, and I decided that this case was fine for the junior resident to do, while the senior stayed available for cardiac arrests, or whatever came up.
That day, there was a movie being filmed at our place: "Nothing in Common" with Tom Hanks and Jackie Gleason. There's a scene in the movie where Hanks is pushing Gleason in a wheelchair on a bridge that is a crossing between two buildings at the hospital.

Link to videoSo, I'm sitting in the office, making sure that the junior resident is doing OK with the case, talking to the senior resident about something irrelevant. Sure enough, her pager goes off, and someone had the gall to arrest. She goes running across the bridge to the arrest, and the movie was between takes. On the way back, Gleason sees her and say, "Nice ass. Wanna be in the movies?"
Ever since that day, she was "Doctor Nice Ass." Our pagers at the time could actually do voice, and someone would occasionally page her using that appellation.
Oh, she did have a nice ass, by the way.

I didn't but my dad's got one. The same one he's had since I was 14 but whatever, it still works well enough. I'll take it out around Tuesday or so.
