The article is a few years old, so the prices are wrong. And even though the writer is an expert, I disagree that the gasket is a yearly expense (they tend to last me 2-3 years). Also, she doesn't mention Mirro in the article, which are similar to Presto and often found at garage sales (parts and seals are still available).
