10 degrees at kickoff for the Saints vs. Browns today.

    Anybody going? ❄ ⛄ ⛄ ❄

      Man . . . single digit temps, wind, maybe snow . . .

      How is playing even possible???

Easy to envision a very, very, very, very, very long injury list. "Sorry, Coach, I've got this pain right here. . . " Three guys on the field.

10F? Meh. Try -9 with a-38 wind chill. We came out in short sleeves.

We don't get a lot of really cold weather down here, especially in late November, but I did play in one game at Churchpoint High School, where it was in the twenties and sleeting.

Our principal and theirs agreed to let the bands, boosters and cheerleaders head to the heated gym. So we played the game with almost no crowd, but a few frozen parents huddled in the stands. Just the players, coaches and refs. In the sleet.

Almost total quiet, except for the coach's yells, the snap count, the howl of the wind and the rattle of sleet on our helmets. Then the snap, the grunts, curses, clack of the helmets and pop of the pads.

            Absolutely surreal.

I cannot imagine playing in anything colder, especially with the speed and violence of the NFL game. It's gotta hurt like getting hit with clawhammers for 60 minutes...

10 degrees isn’t that bad. On the field there shouldn’t be much wind. I’d camp in this. A good poly base layer does an amazing job. The hands are the problem…

When you are exercising at that level the cold doesn't bother you much.

Didn't seem to bother the Saints at all today.

In Bengals Pats (one ugly win) were four missed PATs today and only one that was good. Try kicking a rock.

Deflate the ball a little, no problem.

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!

I drove there this afternoon to pick up some stuff that’s in storage near Foxborough, and ran into the freaking stadium traffic. Hell on earth.

                      Fucking Patriots. Glad they lost.

                      I was only joking

You've been saying that for years and years.

And I'm not referring to football.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
