$858 Billion for defense, $773 for non-defense, up to Sep. 2023. Some $45 Billion to aid Ukraine.
Includes Electoral Count Act, changes to retirement savings law (Secure 2.0), expand Medicaid, banning TikTok from government devices.
Last minute items added by the Senate:
PUMP Act for nursing mothers in the workforce, Fairness for 9/11 Families Act, Pregnant Fairness Workers Act.
In terms of political grandstanding, Kevin McCarthy wanted to delay the whole thing until after the GOP retake control of the House next year but most Senate GOP did not go along.

Russia’s military spending in 2021 hit $66bn, says the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute. But even then, the US was spending $801bn a year, and other Nato members about $363bn. [4] Russia's official 2022 military budget is expected to be 4.7 trillion rubles ($75bn),[5] or higher, and about $84bn for 2023, 40% more than initial military budget announced in 2021.[6] Between 2022–2025, Russia plans to spend in total $600bn on defence and security.[5]

On the flip side - for about 5% of our military budget we're helping expose one of our 2 main military rivals as an absolute joke.
What's our military for - if not largely to keep the likes of Russia and China at bay?
This seems like a generational win - the sort that the U.S. military hasn't had in decades.
