Meanwhile, down on the farm....

OK, so how do you store wheat until December? Do you just fill a silo and it doesn't go bad?
With hay, each year we stored 80 acres in the huge barn of course, but tossed quite a bit of salt on it to avoid spontaneous combustion if it was too green. I am married to the farmer's daughter, so I was just obligated to help over the years. Other than that, I know pretty much all I want to know about raising hay and cattle.
Lots of wheat harvested east of the Cascades, taken to barges on the Columbia river. Not too much grown west of the Cascades, too wet. -

Do you have your own or do you use somebody like Bunge?

Welp.... everything back in the barn.... clear skies, they said.. 20% humidity they said.... No rain for a week they said...
Being a weatherman is a good gig. As long as you include a slight chance of anything, you're never wrong...

I've got my own.
If you ever get tired of farming, I've seen some pretty neat houses made out of those. You could rent them out and have your own little community.
Imagine...The mayor of Larryville...

Those are the big ones. Mine are only around 36 or so feet across.

@taiwan_girl I think this is the first time, after all these years, you've posted a picture of yourself!
Wonderful.
(Would it be wrong to say "lovely?")

Aww, thank you very much!!!!!!
I thought I post pictures before, but maybe not. LOL -
Nice pictures, TG. You're very pretty! I like that horse, too.
My guys are baling the straw now. I didnt think to shoot the picture of the wheat field until i had already gone past most of it. Thats just one corner.. It's hard to take a good picture through a truck window..
For Jolly I also took a picture of one of the grain storage bins. I don't know why there are those "zebra stripes" on it. That's not on the bins.
