Uh... no. You can certainly use it for that, but its primary purpose is to prevent the top of the box from collapsing onto the pizza, thus making the cheese stick to the top of the box and making a "bald" pizza.

Thatβs what I thought too. The pizza places stack the pies and the tops bend inward at the bottom of the stack.

Oh definitely! I can see some limitations--if the cuts aren't deep enough, ain't no way the table's going to help you there--but still a good idea.
