I went to the grocery store today, and picked up a rotisserie chicken.

    Because I'm lazy.

    But, they were "on sale."

You could get two birds for $12.99. I passed, because I didn't know what I'd do with a 2nd rotisserie chicken, other than refrigerate it and have it the next day.

And no, I'm not interested in making stock, chicken sandwiches, or anything else than carving the bird and eating it.

Should I have gotten the two-for?

No. Rotisserie chickens are good that day. If you need another one go back the next day and get it fresh.

@Mik I'm seeing several sites which say you can freeze them, either in pieces or shredded.

The place I went to today is about 6 miles from home. Not a big drive if I'm going for other stuff. Just interested in the savings, of course.

Our local grocer, who is about 400 feet from my house, has them all the time as well.

You can but they won’t be as good.
