An open and honest discussion about race is exactly what this country needs. It starts at home. Glad you’re able to do that Aqua.
Wasn't my decision, it's been thrust upon me.
"Stop & Shop closed? Today? Bullshit. You know everyone there doesn't do Thanksgiving, they do all the Krishna and Kwanzaa holidays, they got nothin' goin' on. It's bullshit."

OK, I'd be hitting the Hennessy right about now.

Classic:
"Is there any coffee around?"
"We have PLENTY of coffee, we have TONS of it, it's all good it's from [unintelligible]."
"Is this one decaf? Kinda smells li—"
"We don't have DECAF in here, NOTHING is DECAF in here, it's all REAL COFFEE!!"Meanwhile, back in reality, there's a tin, a small Tupperware container and three glass jars of coffee grounds. The coffee inside the jars smells sour and moldy. Like, puke-inducing. I wasn't even aware coffee could get that old. And while there's no way to tell where it came from, the expiration date on the tin was from 1.6 presidential administrations ago.
The only almost-drinkable coffee in the entire house came from the small Tupperware container. Which someone put a decaf coffee label in. Presumably so people would know what kind it was.

Was the TV important for distracting the kids or the adults?

Oh yeah, joint effort. Fucking plastic golf clubs they got from who knows where. I was taking a shit, wife and BIL were dealing with dinner, whole thing happened in about 5 seconds.
Ironically, we're not pissed. OLEDs are fragile, the two kids are barely 4 and they don't have those kinds of toys at home. This was really their first real opportunity to break something. So, shit happens.
So, we'll replace the damn TV, that's no problem. The problem, really, is SIL. She is going to lay the fuck in to BIL, depend on it. It could get quite real.
