    Soon-to-be-speaker McCarthy is saying "nope" to some Democrats' appointments to committees.

    Notably:

    • Ilhan Omar out of Foreign Relations
    • Adam Schiff (D-liar) out of Intelligence committee
    • Eric Swallwell (D- Fang Fang Fan)

    From what I gather, these removals require a majority of the House to approve. It'll be interesting to see how those Democrats who criticized Omar's anti-Semitic comments vote.

    After Pelosi blocked minority-leader picks for the Jan 6 committee commission gang, I'm not surprised that McCarthy is returning the favor.

    The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

      @George-K

      I’m hoping/guessing that the Omar veto sticks and the others don’t.

        I agree. The one against Swallwell might have more substance - supposedly he can't get a security clearance because of his past associations with Fang Fang.

        As a politician, Schiff is a horrible liar. BIRM.

        But, it might be fun to watch McCarthy hold the Democrats' feet to the fire - "OK, defend all the lies that Schiff peddled on TV."
