Ayup, kiddo had a surgery, so we came out to help before and afterwards. All is going well.

Oh my . . . glad to hear all is going well. Not pressing for details, but I hope it wasn't overly stressful for y'all. Hugs.

Glad all is well. Did you drive? (I think we had a thread about that did we not?)

I'm still here at my kiddo's place. The doctor set a lifting restriction of five pounds for a while yet. Glad she has a two-bedroom apartment, glad we bought the Aerobeds last year, and very glad I sleep like a log on mine.
Hubby and I are working remotely, which is no different than at home.
It wasn't a life threatening surgery or illness, but it was stressful to just drop her off at the door on her surgery day. (That got delayed by a week, adding to our time here. ) The hospital is two hours away from where she lives, and she has no car, which is another reason we are here.
We had her back here, and pretty comfortable on her pain meds, in a couple days. It was so odd not being with her at the hospital. The care team did a great job of contacting me with updates every few hours.
By the time we drive back to our home, we'll have been gone at least 6 weeks. Glad to do it. Being a mom never gets boring for me. Bring on the laundry, cooking, cleaning, and dishes, as long as it's for my kiddo.
