Proving defamation of a public figure is a steep climb. However, Depp won, and if DiSantis can show actual malice, he might have a case here.

1. even in the storyline, it’s a fake accusation that is politically motivated, from what I read

2. people like this going after RDS ultimately benefit him by raising his stature and getting the GOP to circle the wagons around him
