West-by-God is a bring home the bacon state. If the Dems lose control, especially if the GOP achieves the 53 or 54 seat mark, will Manchin switch parties?

He'd be wise to switch to a party that doesn't want to impoverish his state.

I've never understood why he stays with the Democrats. It might be that being regarded as a maverick gives him some clout. I'm sure, however, that if he crossed to the dark side, there would be some juicy committee appointments and other perks.

Four Days Before Election Day, Biden Claims He Is Closing Coal Mines. Are You Listening Pennsylvania?
And it's not just Pennsylvania.
I can drive about 15 minutes from here and see mountain after mountain of coal stacked up near the docks in Newport News. It is being shipped overseas. Coal is big business here too.

Asia is going to be burning coal for the foreseeable future, as is Africa and probably Latin America. If we don't provide it someone else will.

The Press Secretary to the President job has to be one of the worst jobs to have - no matter who is the president.

I am sure there are good ones and not so good ones, but I just think the job as a whole is a really bad one. Especially with a president like Trump or Biden. Always trying to backtrack or spin stuff.
Whether you like or dislike President Obama, I thought he was always very very deliberate in his way of speaking. Seemed like he always thought before he spoke, which may have made the press secretary job a bit easier.

Horse hockey.
Obama was a lightweight, is a lightweight and will go down in the bottom third of U.S. Presidents.
