I pulled 100 ears late yesterday and we'll work it up this morning. Picked almost two bushels of peas while I was at it, but a friend of mine lent me his pea sheller, so those were put up last night. I'll go back this weekend and finish pulling the nubbins on the corn.
I bush-hogged the green beans last Friday, so those are over. Okra hasn't started making yet, but I probably have twenty tomatoes or so in the frig...Need to make some salsa. Also need to make some chow-chow.
Made two batches of pickles, but the cucumbers keep coming in. Banana peppers are starting to take off, eggplants are just putting on.
It's a busy time of year...
