They are turning "existential risk" into a phrase that has identical meaning and political valence as cries of racism do.
They have gone top shelf with their words, there is nothing left now.
Maybe next they can accuse Republicans of destroying all life across the universe, rather than just here on earth.
When I count my blessings, the one where I'm not a complete pussy is near the top. Living in a world where you feel surrounded by existential threats, can't be much fun.

I'm always amazed at how the threats to our democracy are caused by the people who, you know, vote.

Unfortunately, we’ll never really know who actually voted in 2020 since Democrat AGs and Governors decided to ignore the basic laws requiring signatures and ID verification for mail in ballots.

I think the idea is that Republican voters are some combination of evil and ignorant, and are either hoping their candidate absconds with our Democracy, or simply do not understand that the candidate wants to.

That about covers it. If you can hand-wave a theory about why our Democracy is caput if the other tribe is elected, then voila, you never have to rationally defend your own party's policies or governance ever again. You can continue to swim in the main stream, free from any turbulence a rational political thought might cause you.

@Horace sorry!
I meant to post that you just lost all your right-wing Nazi cred by spelling "kaput" with a "c".
And then, you mixed languages by saying "voila."

caput and voila are both American words, best pronounced with a Texas drawl, as I pronounce them.
