An aside...
I saw "Blazing Saddles" in a theater when it came out in, what, 1976, 1977? I remember the gal I was dating at the time. Mary Anne was her name.
The theater was in a...well, let's say it was not "diverse" neighborhood.
When that line came in the movie, we could both hear the guy behind us comment, "That's NOT funny."
