FC Cincinnati vs Philly in the FIFA cup. Trying to figure out whether there is anything to this that is more exciting than watching paint dry.

Europeans think that 100 miles is a long way, Americans think that 8 minutes (the average time between commercials for a mainstream American sport) is a long time.

          I was only joking

Couldn't take it anymore at the half. Turns out we lost, 0-1. One, count them, one, goals.

I can appreciate the skill that goes into it, even though I'm not all that clear on the rules, fouls, etc. Maybe next season we'll go to a game at the new stadium. I'd really like to enjoy it.

I think it's much harder to enjoy sports you didn't grow up watching. I've tried with American football, baseball, hockey, oval racing....

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

                  Ain't it the truth. . .
That's what I can't stand, the flops and then the acting like they're in extreme pain. It's almost as embarrassing as celebrating after every play in (American) football.
