I think i have mention before, but when you see things from a 10000 meter view, things in the US are really really good. There just isn't enough anger/rage/emotion to sustain a civil war. Will there be protests? Yes. We have see that.
People in teh US just dont have it bad enough to sustain that emotion needed. I used the example of Hong Kong - in a territory of 7.5MM, they were getting a million people in the streets day after day after day. I just dont see that happening in teh US. People have it too good to keep that going.

Now, having said that, I would exhort any and all of the folks on the Left side of the aisle to cool their jets, ditch the victim cards and try to understand that not everybody is a cowering ward of the state. At some point, oppressed people do fight back. The Left is currently very actively suppressing those they do not agree with, by both nonviolent and violent means.

On an individual note, I've seen a lot of GSW victims in my time. The most common sentiment among many of them? I never thought he/she would do that!

We are technologically more capable. We cure disease in previously unthinkable ways, but ancient man probably couldn't even wrap his mind around the concept of thermonuclear war.
So the question becomes...Is modern society actually better, or just different?

Better. Categorically. We know about individual sovereignty, how to live meaningfully, and that stable societies must rely on the rule of law to maintain our values. Ancient man had barely a clue.
Modern life isn't perfect but all things considered I'll take BLM and my individual pursuits over dying from a tooth infection or a club to the face any day.
