The blades are re-"cycle" - able. Hey, I had to try.
But, that's a good thing as far as it goes.
I've seen stories about some non-friendly sides of turbines, such as reliance on rare-earth metals (neodymium) and fossil fuels (lubricants).

All true, but this does address some of the concerns, and shows that the technology is improving. I have nothing against green energy, far from it, I just have concerns about it being a unicorn today. Bring on the nukes.

I still think we can get there. The entire history of energy usage from our first fires has been using the most convenient thing in the fastest way possible. We're very, very new at environmental efficiency.
Giving up now would be like scrapping written communication because some guy busted his thumb on a chisel.
