Sour grapes.
The rally was entertaining and a success. I'm sure Trump would have liked a packed house, but times are what they are.
Can anyone even imagine The Dementia Patient pumping up a crowd like that?
That depends on how much they are paid.

No, but he’s leading a broad-based political movement, not a cult.
Trump drew much larger crowds than Hillary and still got fewer votes. Bernie drew bigger crowds than Biden (and Hillary) and still came up short on the voting.
Crowds just aren’t a great metric. Or at least not a reliable one.
People may vote against Trump, but they ain't voting for Biden.
This is true. And the other way too.

No, there are millions who will vote for Trump. There is a definite enthusiasm gap.

Agree, but also millions who will vote for President Trump because they do not like the alternate.
@Mik (I apologize if I am remember wrong) I think said something like, "I will hold my nose and vote for President Trump". And I am sure he is not alone.
At the end of the day, it does not matter your reason behind your vote, what only matters is how you voted.

Hell, I went to pick up my Peach Truck order this morning, looked at the situation and split. Chaos, no real distancing, few masks, hundreds or thousands of people. This is in one of the zip codes that are on the way up, so I suspect many infections will result.
Bummed out about the peaches (they really are fantastic) but I don't like them THAT much. I sent them and email and they promptly refunded my money, which was actually quite nice of them. I expected they might not.

I will vote, but truthfully I have not decided how yet. Sadly the libertarians aren't running anybody good this year. Trump's lack of leadership lately is concerning to me. He seems to be floundering.

No, the crowd wasn't as large as hoped. Virus, you know.
What makes more sense is that people stayed away for more than one reason:
- Virus
- Fear of protesters
- Unrealistic estimate of needed capacity; there was never going to be 20,000
- Clearing the White House protesters and the Bible stunt turned people off
- Enthusiasm for Trump diminishing from 2016
- Why bother if Biden is going to win
-
Well, at least the lackluster turnout is a good answer to all those idiots who say that Trump is like Hitler.

Except the 8 million who watched it on TV. Seems like one way or another the turnout was as predicted.
-
@Catseye3 said in 24 hours from Tulsa....:
Come on, that's pretty feeble. It takes no effort to turn on the TV and watch it, even while doing other things. You can't call that showing support. And you can't call it a 'turnout'.
Hard to say now that people are tiring of Trump with those numbers on the board. Ask an expert. Also turnout was likely tamped by Covid concerns, so they turned on the TV instead.
Oh and if you think turning on the TV is a nothing burger think about sports.

OK, sorry, he is like Hitler after all.

It was Fox’s most watched event ever. If that doesn’t move you I give up.
-
If you chaps had any decent sport, you wouldn't have to watch this shit.
1.9 billion people watch Formula 1.
Hell, on a good day 10 million watch Doctor Who in Britain alone.

In the first place, Fox is Trump's wingman; maybe it was the most watched and maybe it wasn't.
Secondly, what does 'watching' mean? Was it 'watching' versus 'had the TV turned on'?
I think poll demographers would have to do interviews of the TV watchers to get any kind of an idea of how watching him on TV will directly translate to the voting booth.
