Neighbor stopped by as she was out for her evening walk and we compared notes on our fall gardens. She moved back home as her dad's health deteriorated to help with him and has stayed on with her mother. She works mostly from home, which works out well for her.

This gal is probably late 30's, maybe as old as mid-40's. She's no knockout, but she is a decent looking lady. College educated, pretty well spoken. Comes from a good family...Her grandparents and mine were good
friends, so I've known these folks all my life. They've always been people who didn't socialize too much, so they've never been real outgoing, and she's like the rest of her family.

Was married for nine or ten years, now she's divorced and has no children.

So, here's where I don't understand people...If I was some single guy in his 40's, I'd take a hard, serious look at pursuing her. But, AFAIK, I don't think she even dates. I hear guys griping all the time there are no single women out there of that age, not without major psychological or financial problems or without multiple children.

It seems like if it's not on the internet, people are walking by some pretty good products on the shelf...

That's often the case. I could not believe it when I found MFR, both in our early 30's, neither previously married. No crazy eye, either.

That last is paramount. Good buddy of mine asked his son the other say if he was ever going to remarry (the boy went through a bad divorce and has custody of his two sons. I guess those boys are around eight and ten, or so).

        The son's reply?

Daddy, I keep lookin', but 75% of the available women out there are on some kind of psychiatric medicine and the other 25% ought to be!

You know, I'm not much on the internet dating stuff.

There's enough of them out there, an ambitious man should be able to cut one out of the herd.

I think this may be the issue for her. Guys cannot find her, even if they wanted to.

                    Yup. Get involved.
