@taiwan_girl, the “Jewel” of ChangYi airport opened in April 2019, after my last visit to that airport, so I have not seen it for real yet. But even without the “Jewel,” the ChangYi airport was impressive enough as it was.

@Axtremus is the principle for the magnetic high speed trains?
wrote on 11 Oct 2020, 05:50 last edited by@taiwan_girl More than one way to build high speed trains, “maglev” uses magnetic acceleration: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maglev
Some amusement park rides and roller coasters also use magnetic acceleration.

Technique!
Link to videoIntellectually, I think I can figure out the technique to get the geometry right without too much time, but I suspect it will take me a long time to develop the steadiness of hand to cut the tile seemingly so effortlessly with freehand.

That was pretty impressive. Like you say, trying to do that freehand. I would think that cutting tool would be difficult to control.

The tumbling stuff is beyond insane.
Can you imagine spending year and years to prepare for a performance that lasts about 10 seconds?
Of course, these
girlswomen are amazing with their athleticism and talent. I have no words... -

Of course, these
girlswomen are amazing with their athleticism and talent. I have no words...It looks insane, but I wonder what this will do to joins, tendons, bones. It doesn't look very healthy to me. Lots of "g" every time they land, and they aren't allowed to bend knees etc. to slow down the force.

When I was dancing, we were told to drink lemon juice to make us bones more flexible.
Not sure if it worked or if there will be problems later on. But, every one of us did it.
