I replaced the battery on my iPhone once. I was pretty proud of myself, but realistically, with the amount of time and effort it took (plus the "wholesale" cost of the battery, next time I will just take it to a shop and have them do it. LOL

For me, the main problem is not the order that people board, it is the fact that people bring SO MUCH carry on stuff onto a plane.

The solution to speed up boarding (and onboarding) would be to charge for carryon and make checked baggage free.

I would say that 95+% of my trips, I check a bag and just board with a small backpack.

Didn't watch the whole thing, but skimming, it seems impossible to get people to board in such an exact order.

One thing that I've always found slightly amusing is the notion that boarding first is a privilege. yay, I get to sit in the airplane longer than you get to sit in the airplane! I win! Some primal "first is better" thing, overriding common sense. Though with limited overhead storage space, there is at least that advantage.

                    Education is extremely important.

@Horace I think it is more the availability of storage space than anything else. But, of course, human nature loves "rewards", and people want to display their awards, weather it is boarding first, putting something on your wall, etc.

Most of my flights are international, and I usually board towards the end. Like you, I figure I am going to be sitting on the plane for 10+ hours, and it will not leave without me, so what is the rush. LOL
