Not sure if there is an English version of such a succinct, high quality review. Please share if you find one. Otherwise I suppose you’d have to rely on English closed caption (it’s an option that you can turn on in YouTube).

Not sure if this is affiliated with “TED Talk,” but stylistically this looks very much like a “TED Talk”.

This one is from a sociologist who did 20 years of research on mainland China’s sex service industry.

Given mainland China’s censorship regime, not sure how much she had to censor herself before she’s allowed to speak publicly on this topic. Regardless, she shows much compassion with her presentation.

I do not follow figure skating as a sports. I came across this recent video and it seems to me the sports has entered yet a higher level of athleticism. Enjoy!

Nice movie, G-rated, so quite OK to watch with kids.

Thanks for that Ax. My husband had an RX7 and he really enjoyed watching the video.

                  That was cool.

Reading about the Wankel, it seems like it was plagued with all kinds of problems (seals, pollution, inefficient fuel use, etc) which, ultimately, made it non-sustainable despite the clever engineering. Wikipedia talks about using hydrogen (!) as a fuel which is faster burning than gasoline and producing no emissions.

"Now look here, you Baltic gas passer... " - Mik, 6/14/08

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

                            I’ve always thought so.

Nice little piece she played, too!

                              Those repeated notes. Damn.

The piece sounds more like Liszt than like Schumann.

You’re in the ballpark. It’s a Tausig transcription.

The Schumann/Tausig reminds me of this gem of a transcription by Rachmaninoff:
