            Once they get pretty far inland, mostly rain and a bit of wind. Biggest problem might be tornadoes, if y'all are prone to that.

              You can still smell the tropics.

              We got 5-6 inches of rain, as expected, and needed.

                You know, that's a side benefit at times that is seldom discussed. In the Fall, things can get pretty dry down here.

                Now, nobody wishes a bad storm on anybody, but I've heard more than one person say on occasion, "Man, we could use a storm about now. Not a bad one, just a good rain".
