The Electric Truck

I just looked...The dealer closest to me has a Super Duty with a V8 for a sticker of $59k. He has a similar truck with the diesel motor for $67k sticker. The gas will tow 16,700, the diesel 22,000.
Bulletproof the diesel and will give you 250,000 miles of service, no problem.
So...since the Lightning has a tow capacity of 10,000 pounds...Let's be ecologically responsible and buy a $100,000 truck that tows less than half of the diesel, will probably last half as long without an expensive battery pack replacement, couldn't tow a pregnant whore from Shreveport to Dallas without recharging and God help you if the Lightning breaks in Bumfuck, Texas, because nobody will know how to fix it.
One of my friends is a small-time rancher that supplements his income by buying and selling top-line breeding stock. It's not unusual for him to hook his cattle trailer up and pickup two or three cows or maybe a bull, in Colorado, Georgia or Texas. Since he's feeding stock at home, he makes those trips as quick as possible, driving straight through, catch a few winks, load and go. There is absolutely no way the Lightning can meet his needs.
Or most anybody else, who needs a truck, except for maybe around town use.
