Streaming is the new TV.

Yes, but it's very disjointed unless you want to pay a LOT and you have time to watch all this stuff.

The fact that we don't recognize the shows doesn't mean TV is worse, it could just mean there's a lot more of it, in a lot more places.
I watched Squid Game - my wife and daughter watch some sicko stuff, and I get dragged in

That's right. The move from episodic to serialized TV (arguably beginning with Babylon 5), I think made TV much better.

I got rid of TV many years ago (had to go to my fitness center to watch the Obama inauguration, I remember) because it had gotten not only pretty awful, but also loaded with programming that seemed not to have a lot to do with me. Like those Duck guys.I can only imagine how awful it is now.

Doctor Who was doing that (admittedly to a lesser extent - 6 episodes to a story) back in 1963.

I know what you mean. Our teenage son insists that we all watch the ever tedious The Curse of Oak Island and the preposterous, The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch and Ancient Aliens.

Ancient Aliens is hilarious. Maybe not intentionally.

Ok, challenge...Name five antenna network shows you would watch. Remember, over-the-air, not streaming or cable only.

@Jolly I have never seen any of those shows over-the-air. Well, not in the last 10 years - I've seen 20/20 and Dateline.
"Lego Masters?" What the hell is that?
I've watched some Shark Tank (streaming) and Penn & Teller. Nothing else.
I think the last over-the-air show I watched was "Rescue Me."
